18 Jul Weekly Update – Charitable Contributions and Mental Health
Welcome back everyone,
This week I’ll be talking about some of the good work Strategic have done in the community that is close to my heart. The Strategic Solutions Community Foundation recently donated to Counselling Together, an organisation that seeks to help people through difficult times and troubling thoughts in and around the New Forest area. This money has gone towards their Bursary Fund, which enables those who are struggling financially to still receive help. This is a fantastic and necessary system to ensure people can move forward with their lives without breaking the bank, and adding even more stress.
I have sought counselling before, and have aspirations to become a counsellor myself one day, so it is moving to know that Strategic’s values are aligned with helping people as much as possible. Mental health issues can stem from so many things, and here at CBIFA we all understand that money can be a huge contributing factor to those. It’s our job to assist with that side of people’s lives, but sometimes you just need someone to talk to, who won’t judge or make assumptions. I am proud to work with people who share the same thought process, it’s good to “get it”.
If you’re struggling with anything and need it off your chest, I cannot express enough how much I believe in the process. Here are some links to Counselling Together and Samaritans, if you feel you need any help or simply want to learn more.
